Evaluating Your Workplace

Ask the following questions to see how your workplace rates.

1. I find that my job challenges me without sensory overload.
2. I have been given a clear set of priorities that are reasonable.
3. I find my work rewarding.
4. We work as a team and they accept my suggestions.
5. Sufficient time is given without the stress of time constraints.
6. I feel comfortable with the hierarchy set up for complaints
7. There is good communication within our team as well as management.
8. I understand the rules regarding my workplace
9. My job utilizes my skills maximally.
10. The amount of extra time required is acceptable
11. My team is not closed to suggestions from outside.
12. There is a mechanism in place for cross interdepartmental communication.
13. There is good communication between my superiors and myself.
14. My team is adequately staffed
15. I have proper resources to get the job done and if not I am allowed to purchase the right equip.
16. I have had a good orientation and sufficient information to do my job confidently.
17. Top management is willing to listen carefully when problems arise.
18. I am ask for input when decisions are made that affect me.
19. I get adequate notice if overtime is needed.
20. I get recognition for a job well done
21. Rules are applied equally without favoritism shown.
22. Workloads are equitable
23. Scheduling is flexible when needed
24. Learning new things is encouraged
25. Changes are given when prolonged mundane jobs are required
26. Management is supportive and picnics etc with management encouraged
27. Staff around me are professional
